The Chapel
The Chapel mirrors the main Worship Area in being
circular and this theme is continued in the round
altar table which was designed by PDD Architects
and made by Scotts of Thrapston - who carried out
all the joinery work in the church. The stained
glass in the doors and shutters is the work of
stained glass artist Ruth Ward. The brass cross
in the alcove was a gift from Allgoods who were
responsible for all the ironmongery in the building.
To the right of the alcove is the Tabernacle.
(This contains the reserved sacrament for the
Roman Catholic Church.)
At the Chapel door is a votive candle stand which
was designed by a member of the congregation, Gordon
Lewis, and constructed by local artist Marja Bonada.
The wooden 'madonna' is the work of Willi Soukop who
also sculpted the beautiful pieces hung in Reception.
